Dynos hit the hardwood
Last year the team had a nearly unblemished record going into the playoffs when they were dramatically upset.
“As for last season, if there is one lesson to pass on to the 2010-2011 Dynos is that journey is far more important than the end outcome,” said coach Jeff Messom. “That we need to appreciate the experiences and memories that we develop as we move forward developing a team, a program, but more importantly the Dynos Basketball extended family.”
The team saw much of its starting line graduate and only have one starter, Daulton Smith, returning. Messom says they have an enthusiastic and eager group of Grade 11 players that have made great strides in their development, and are looking forward to being significant parts of Dynos Basketball.
“Overall we are a young team that has a large learning curve, but I believe as the season moves along and we begin to discover what we are about, our team identity, we could surprise a few teams,” said Messom.
He said they have designed a light December schedule as a number of his players are coming off the field after competing as Titans this year.
“I wanted to give them a chance to recover from their football season and to take the time to develop as group before we get into the grind in the new year,” said Messom.
