The junior high boys volleyball team at DCHS are halfway through a strong season with a 4-2 record after four wins in the last two weeks.
The team, consisting of mostly Grade 9 students, won against Trochu last Thursday, and beat St. Anthony’s in exhibition play early last week.
“They are starting to play as a team,” said coach Audrey DeBona, and have begun to learn the 6-2 position system, the method used in volleyball up until the college level.
“They just needed a few games to start getting it, but now they’re hitting the ball and serving quite well.”
The Dynos played Three Hills on Tuesday nights, results were not available by press-time.
Drumheller has a 23-5 record in games so far this season. They sit with a 4-2 record in matches.
Players on the team include: Sam Brown, the only Grade 7 player, and the rest are Grade 9s, Landon Brown, Talon Marshall, Douglas Hein, Matt Herman, Colby Morgan, Cody Engen, Katlyn Davies, and Logan Burril.
