On Saturday, April 24, the Drumheller Gymnastics Club Precompetitive Team celebrated successful results. The girls competed at Three Hills Gymnastics Club and for many it was their first competition.
Clubs from Olds, Irricana, Cold Lake, Strathmore, Wetaskiwin, Didsbury and Three Hills were represented but this did not stop Drumheller from picking up several ribbons and two gold medals.
In Provincial 1, Novice, Maria Patterson placed 1st on vault, 1st on bars, 1st on beam, 1st on floor, 1st (gold) all round.
In Provincial 1, Open, Myranda Mahon placed 1st on vault, 1st on bars, 1st on beam, 1st on floor, 1st (gold) all around.
In the almost Provincial 1 Tyro, Kalena Lewandowski placed 5th on vault, 10th on bars, 7th on beam, 6th on floor, 10th all round.In the almost Provincial 1 Tyro, Jordyn Kiemele placed 3rd on vault, 9th on bars, 6th on beam, 7th on floor, tied 7th all round.
