An exciting season of football is in line and it all starts this Saturday.
The Titans will be opening their season this Saturday, September 5 against Innisfail, and have all kinds of excitement planned. Coach Jason Rasmussen says there is a
strong contingent of players ready to take the field.
“I see a large roster with a lot of potential,” said Rasmussen. “We are young, but we have a good blend of guys that have played before, and a handful of veterans. We also have some raw skill and talent that we are going to be able to develop and hopefully utilize.”
He sees some bright spots, especially when the Titans have possession.
Defense is also no slouch either.
“Defensively we have a really good line backing core. Our defense is going to be more of a speed and swarm defense, rather that raw power,” said Rasmussen.
The team will be playing at the Tier 4 level (high school population of 449 and under). The team has players from DCHS, St. Anthony’s and Standard.
The Titan’s home opener is Saturday, September 5 at noon against Innisfail. Show up early for a live band and beef on a bun. There will also be half-time contest. Kick-off is at 1 p.m.
