The Drumheller soccer club wrapped up its spring soccer season and had its largest registration to date with just over 150 kids aged 5-14 sign up. Soccer was played every Tuesday and Thursday for the past seven weeks with many in and out-of-town competitive travel games on the weekends. Soccer is the fastest growing youth sport in Canada and it’s certainly true in Drumheller. The association is grateful for the many sponsors that stepped up to support their players as they pursued the game. The association has refurbished its benches for spectators and are wrapping up its irrigation repairs then building up the soil and planting new grass that should be ready for our fall season that starts Tuesday, September 12.
