Morrin School Hockey program finished up the season with its annual game against staff and parents of the students in the program.
The hockey program runs each year from September until the end of January when the students get to play against their teachers and some of their parents.
Students receive 30 on-ice sessions of instruction and skill development, and do off-ice activities from the beginning of the school year until the end of October when the ice goes in. They then get two off-ice sessions and three on-ice sessions each week until the end of January.
The hockey program is set up to allow any student enrolled in Morrin School from Grade 7 to 12 to participate. This year there were 18 students in the program.
The program is open to both girls and boys of any skill level.
“We are always looking for more students to come to Morrin School to experience what we have to offer. Our hockey program is only one of many opportunities our students have. We also offer shop classes where students can take woodworking, welding and automotives,” said Morrin School Principal Don Yavis in a statement.
