The Bantam Titans had a couple of stumbles over the last two weeks but they are focused on the postseason.
The Titans were in Red Deer to take on Hunting Hills High School but fell 28-18. Coach Ryan Hatch felt his team stood up well against the big school.
“We did well, we were missing a few guys, we have a lot of injuries. We are trying to play through but we are patching things together and making things work,” said Hatch.
This comes a week after a home loss to Stettler, another tough team. The Titans battled hard but fell short, losing 40-19.
There is no time for the Titans to lick their wounds as the postseason begins this weekend.
“We are in the B Pool, so we are still vying for provincials on B-side,” said Hatch.
Their first game will be against Lacombe. The teams met once this season, with Lacombe coming out on top 50-31. Hatch believes they are very much in contention.
“They pulled away on us in the third quarter, so that is what we are working on. We are preparing for that and watching game film to get game ready,” said Hatch.
“We are going to be much more competitive. We have worked out some things we want to do to improve our game, so we should be ready for them.”
