Drumheller Bantam Titans win by landslide

bantam 1

The Bantam Titans travelled to Springbank to play a game Saturday. The Titans played strong with an expected win and didn’t disappoint  their fans, winning 44-0.
Head coach Paul Redmond said, “Connor Enns, our running back, is also the backup quarterback. I had him start the game for experience and it worked well. Enns scored five or six touchdowns. Being 6’2 already, he is a fairly dominant player.”
Redmond explained that the Bantam league has no restrictions except age and grade. Without weight restrictions this can make for a big difference in the size of athletes.
“We can see a student who is barely 80 lbs next to a student who is close to 300 lbs.” Redmond laughed.
The team recovered well from previous injuries and played with a full roster. Redmond said they look good going into next weekend’s game which is an exhibition game in Strathmore on Saturday, October 8 at 1 p.m.
