The DVSS senior girls Dynos battled it out with Acme and lost with a final score of 25-21 and 25-23.
The Dynos hosted the Acme Redmen in league play on Wednesday, September 28.
Head Coach Erica Crocker was happy with the team’s effort.
“Our girls suffered from fatigue from two weeks of intense training, league games, and back-to-back tournaments,” said coach Croker. “All things considered, the girls played a great game with fantastic offensive work from our middle hitter Mikaela Koustrup. She had collectively scored 7 kills over the course of the game, and was blocking Acme’s power hitters.”
“Eden Hilchey also delivered an aggressive performance with 5 kills and shutting down Acme’s offense. Defensive performances by our captains Makenna Lutz and Nikki Thompson kept us alive in the game, which ultimately set up our offensive line effectively.”
Crocker said they were pleased with the Dynos performance.
“My co-coach, Carmen Spitzer, and I are excited for the girls to get some rest this weekend. They’ve certainly earned it,” she said.
The Dynos’ next game is Wednesday, October 5 at 5:30 p.m. It is another home game against Prairie Christian Academy.
