Kalbhen & Kenney qualify for Zone Two Ringuette at AWG 2016

Rockyford resident Taneil Kalbhen and Redland resident Hailey Kenney have both  qualified for Zone Two Ringuette at the  2016 Alberta Winter Games.
Kalbhen’s position is Centre while Kenney’s is defense.  Kalbhen said, “The most difficult thing is learning to play  with the new team. There were 3 tryouts with cuts and then two more tryouts before qualifying.”
Prior to the Alberta Winter Games, they will have a chance to play against other teams.  Their first game was against Calgary Northwest and it resulted in a 5-3 win.  On January 9, they’ll  play against another Calgary team.
Kenney said, “Once we get there (Alberta Winter Games) it will be a lot different, meeting all the other sports teams and players.”

Zone Two Ringuette will be represented at the Alberta Winter Games with local players. L-r Taneil Kalbhen and Hailey Kenney.
