The Drumheller Dragons won their second game of their north road trip and their fourth game in a row Saturday night against the Whitecourt Wolverines.
The Wolverines opened the scoring in the first period on the power play with a goal by Romano Morrison.
The Dragons answered back with two goals, the first by Dakota Zaharichuk and the second by Carson Pickett, to end the second period with a 2-1 lead.
Ethan James scored a third goal for the Dragons at 2:03 of the third period. Clint Filbrandt scored a power play goal for the Dragons just over one minute later to make the score 4-1. The Wolverines scored their second, and final, goal of the night on the power play by Jared Freadrich just seven seconds before Chad Harrison scored the Dragons fifth goal making the final score 5-2. The Dragons will now travel to Drayton Valley to face the Thunder Sunday afternoon at 2:30 before heading back south where they will travel to Calgary to face the Canucks Wednesday night at 7p.m.
