SIRKO, Steve (Istvan)
1919 - 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved one on March 2, 2011. He passed peacefully after a stroke at the continuing care facility - the Heritage House in Stettler, Alberta. Steve is survived by his daughter Anna Mae, granddaughter Korey Anne (Dan), and great-granddaughters Kayla and Dayle; also a brother Joseph and his family and numerous cousins on both sides. He also has many relatives in Hungary. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth in 1997. After immigrating to Leduc at age seven, he farmed with his father and brother and then moved to work in the many coal mines in Rosedale and surrounding areas. At his request, no services will be held. A private family gathering at interment will be held at a later date. He will always be in our hearts and lovingly remembered by us all. Thank you to Sean and Scott from Courtney-Winters.
