GERK, Duncan Lorne
January 27, 1989 - October 30, 2010
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Duncan and his stepbrother Brandon Gerk. Duncan was born in Fairview, AB where his family lived on a farm near Blue Sky until 2001 when they moved to Munson. Duncan attended Morrin School and graduated in 2008. Duncan is survived by his parents Janice, Lorne Gerk and brother Colby, grandmother Helen Cullum, grandparents Rose (Elvin) Dei, Frank (Gene) Gerk, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece, nephew, and many friends. He was predeceased by his uncles Nick Luka, Robert Cullum, Morgan Cullum and Aunty Lil Robinson. Duncan loved fishing, camping and shinny hockey with his family and friends. He also loved to draw and write. Duncan will always be remembered for his heart of gold, and his contagious smile! Forever in our hearts.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Munson Community Hall, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family’s request is a donation to DARTS in Duncan’s memory.
