DORSEY, Don Dee
June 9, 1937 - September 22, 2010
Born in Ardley, AB, on June 9, 1937, Don passed away on September 22, 2010 after “fighting the good fight with the strength and dignity he was known for.” Don is survived by his loving wife, Bev, much beloved stepchildren Lisa Lacroix (Shawn), Tim Curran (Crystal) and the light of his life, grandson Bodie. Also survived by two sons, Kevin and Donald Dorsey, his brother Glen (Dorothy) Dorsey of Delburne and numerous nieces and nephews. Don spent a short stint in the Navy and then became a long haul truck driver and construction worker for many years prior to joining Alta Gas for 23 years. After retirement, Don missed his hobby “working” and ended his years working for Pete Cardamone, whom Don was always grateful to for giving a man a purpose. Celebration of Don’s life will be held at the Morrin Hall on October 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. If friends desire, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit, 351 - 9 Street N.W. Drumheller T0J 0Y1. Courtney-Winters Funeral Home in charge of assisting the families’ wishes.
