BARNARD, Keith Ross
Keith Ross Barnard, on July 31, 2010, in a fatal motor vehicle accident near Vermillion, Alberta. Age 35, Keith was predeceased by infant brother Mark in 1984 and grandparents Leo, Audrey Barnard and Ross, Betty Zinck. Survived by his fiancée Megan O’Neill of CT, USA, father Byron (stepmother Carey) of Victoria, BC; mother Heather (stepfather Harry Smith) of River John, NS, siblings Amy (Mark) Butts, Rebecca (Phil) Mantynen, Paul (Nia),Matthew (Tara), Emilynn (Brandon) Randall, Patrick (Kayla) Mulholland, Lauren Barnard, Josh Mulholland, Uncle Mike (Meg) Robinson and Aunt Bonnie (Randy) Wood. Keith grew up in Victoria, BC and in Nova Scotia. For the past 15 years he lived and worked in Alberta. He owned and operated the Napier Theatre in Drumheller, Alberta prior to becoming an oil field environmental service contractor. He resided in Calgary, Alberta and was a proud Canadian. He was a hard working, conscientious, fun loving, quick witted, natural athlete, who lived life to the fullest, especially on the golf course where he excelled. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 19th at 3 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 155 Panamount Blvd., NW Calgary, Alberta T3K 5L7. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Golf Association Foundation Scholarship Program.
