William “Bill” David Franklin Simmonds of Rosedale, AB was promoted to Glory at the Drumheller Hospital on August 2, 2010. He will be missed by his loving wife of 36 years, Loretta and daughter Roberta, sister, Frieda Cowan of Aldergrove, AB, cousin Irene (Vic) Toews of Chilliwack, BC and his church family at the Drumheller Salvation Army. Bill was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Minnie Rose Simmonds and his 2 sons Robert James and Russell George Simmonds. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Salvation Army Drumheller Corps, 242-1st Street West, Thursday, August 5th, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Major David Graham presiding. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in memory of Bill to the Tom Baker Cancer Foundation, 29 Street Northwest, Calgary, AB T2N 4N2.
