Doug passed away on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital at the age 90 years.. He will be sadly missed by his son Rick; daughter Sheron (Carter) Schacher; grandchildren: Jeff Schacher (Jasmine Zaple) and Jodee Bilinski (Sean) and great-grandchildren Isabelle and Emily Bilinski as well as relatives and friends. Doug was predeceased by his wife Florence; son Ronnie; sister Helen and brothers Ralph & Clifford. Doug’s family wish to thank the staff at the Peter Lougheed Hospital for their excellent care and support. A Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, a memorial tribute in Doug’s name may be made directly to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation (No. 200, 119 - 14 Street N.W., Calgary AB T2N 1Z6) or a charity of your choice.
