It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and our friend Edna Gibson. Edna passed away peacefully on November 17, 2008 after a short illness. Edna is lovingly remembered by her children Marilyn, Larry, Bill (Sheila), Pat (Tom), Jim (Wendy) and Allen; Doris and Bill Irving; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Bill in 2004, her parents Marie and Jim Snell; Sister Irene Snell; Brother Russell Snell; and son-in-law Roy Hay. Throughout her life she consistently gave unselfishly and lovingly to her family and those around her. Her strength and spirit will endure in all she leaves behind. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her. Special thanks to Dr. Miller, Dr. Khoza and staff at the Acute Care Unit, Drumheller Hospital for your kindness and compassionate care. Funeral Services were held at the Carbon Community Centre on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Wendy Galloway officiating. Interment followed in the Carbon Cemetery.
