Norma Esther

August 4, 1935 - June 12, 2024

Norma Esther Seeger (nee Currie), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with Dementia on June 12, 2024, at the age of 88 at the Drumheller Health Centre.
Norma was born in Medicine Hat to Ambrose and Artie Currie. She grew up and went to school in Patricia, Alberta. Norma was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Ron for 67 years. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. She was a cherished mother to her four children, Cameron (Suthin), Dean (Colleen), David and Barbara (Murray). Norma was a proud grandmother to Shannon (Cody), Mellissa (Brad), Courtney, Amber, Cassie (Chloe), Holly, and Claire (Marice), and great grandmother to Marshall, Cali, Roarke, and Jacklynn and an auntie to numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma and Ron built their lives and raised their family in Vauxhall and Fort Macleod. In 1985 they moved to Delia, Alberta where they enjoyed, for many years, being a part of that community.
Norma enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, reading, camping, doing puzzles, and gardening. She was a talented cook, well known for creating delicious meals both at home and at her various roles in restaurants, catering and cafeterias, Norma was best known for her delicious homemade pies.
Norma will be deeply missed by her husband Ron, and her entire family and a lifetime of friends.
A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held Friday, June 21, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the Delia Senior’s Drop-in Centre, Delia, Alberta. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation (Long Term Care) or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
