April 15, 2024

Klaas Jan Stol of East Coulee, beloved husband of Dana Lee, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024 at the age of 62 years.
Klaas was born in Drumheller to parents Annemarie Helge Stol and Klaas Jan Stol. Growing up in East Coulee and attending school primarily in Drumheller, Klaas was the eldest of five siblings. He worked from an early age finishing concrete with his father, eventually taking over the business, East Coulee Concrete.
Klaas has been a pillar of the community of East Coulee, often seen cruising town with his dogs hanging out the window, or volunteering at the pancake breakfast. He loved old cars, loud music, small animals, and most of all - his family. He knew what was important to him and lived his life according to what he valued.
In addition to his loving wife Dana, Klaas is survived by his daughters Chantelle Barron (Jason), Alisha Stol, Brandi Lee (Gerry), and Jessica Lee (Sam), by his grandchildren Simon, Rowan, Kaiden, Keelin, Mila, Ashlynn, Zoey, and Forrest, by his two sisters Michelle Koster (Berend) and Kim Stol, by his two brothers Hans Stol and Willi Stol (Tracie), and by niece Kayla Lloyd and nephews Eric, Evan and Aiden Koster.
Klaas is predeceased by his parents Klaas and Annemarie Stol, daughter Crystal Lee, and nephew Derek Stol.
A Celebration of LIfe will be held at the East Coulee Community Hall on Friday April 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dan Hendrickson officiating.
Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
