COLES
Bruce Allen

February 27, 1962 - June 25, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an exceptional Husband, Father and Grandpa.
Bruce was born in Drumheller to Ralph and Sue Coles. He had 3 brothers; Butch (Jean), Darcy and Ken, 2 sisters Janice (Terry) and Debbie. Bruce was raised in the Rosebud area.
In his late teens, his family moved to Drumheller.
This is where he met the love of his life Bonnie. They married in 1985 and had 3 children, Steven (Naomie), Mandy (Bryan) and Ryan. He was blessed with 7 Grandchildren. Mason, Sienna, Jordyn, Brinleigh, Jackson, Noah and Kylee.
Bruce was a hard-working man. He had a range of different jobs over the years. He was a truck driver/ crane operator for most of his working career. He was employed by Alberta Transportation building bridges, he drove truck for Hi-Way 9 Express and worked for Correctional Service of Canada as a General Duties Supervisor. The career he was most proud of was his own company Brubon Oilfield Hauling. For 7 years he was dedicated to providing exceptional service to the oilfield industry. Bruce made a lasting impression on everyone he met and no one was a stranger.
He had a love for music. If there was a party, he was playing the music. In his younger years he would DJ on the weekends. He played for a variety of different occasions, mostly weddings. His whole life the music was always playing, the louder the better. Our home was always extremely loud.
He also loved watching movies and having the sound play over his huge speakers.
Unfortunately, Bruce was diagnosed with MS around his 50th birthday. It progressed quickly and he spent his remaining years at home and in Continuing Care.
Our family would like to thank all the people who were involved in caring for Bruce over the years. You were his angels.
A private graveside service will be held. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. Donations can be made to the MS Society of Canada.
Courtney-Winters Funeral Home in care of arrangements. 403-823-2666.
