JACQUES
Darryl Raymond

February 25, 1965 - June 29, 2021

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, dad, papa, son, and brother, Darryl passed away on June 29, 2021 surrounded by his family at the Drumheller Health Centre at the age of 56 years.
Darryl was born February 25, 1965 in Moose Jaw, Sask, he took his early schooling in Moose Jaw, moving to Drumheller for the start of grade four. Darryl completed his high school in Drumheller graduating in 1983. After a short stint in Calgary, he returned to Drumheller to work with IGA, and then Freson Brothers for the last 30 years. He started in produce, then grocery ending his career as store manager.
Darryl had many interests but his family was key. From dance recitals to travelling Alberta in the winter watching his kids play hockey. He enjoyed beach vacations, movies, and just having Sunday fun day in the backyard.
Darryl was a man of principle, loyalty and strength. He lead from behind when it came to his family and his team at work. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. His kids remember his sense of humour often referring to his, “Dad Jokes” fondly. He exemplified what a husband and father should be.
We will miss him more and more as each day passes, his absence is staggering.
Darryl is survived by; his wife Lisa, daughter Ayrianna (Victor), Dallas (Daylin), Brady (Janelle), Austin (Brianne), his pride and joy granddaughters Lakelee and Aspen, mother Shirley (Barry), sister Lorilee (Clint, Dane, & Nixon), uncle Murray, cousins Bryan, Carrie and their families, the Peters family, the Schneider family, the Freson family and a lifetime of friends.
Darryl was predeceased by his infant son Cain, his dad Ray, brother Kevin, sister Darla and numerous other family members.
Funeral Services for Darryl will be held Monday, July 5, 2021 at the BCF at 2:00 P.M.
If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation.
