Esther Agnethe Konrad

Esther Agnethe Konrad Nielsen (nee Skytt) passed away peacefully with her husband Jes at her side, in the early morning hours on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the age of 98. Esther was born in Newell, Iowa, the second child of Hans and Marie Skytt and at the tender age of 8 months the family returned to Denmark. In 1924, Hans and Marie and the two children came to Canada and settled in Dalum, the new Danish settlement and what a remarkable life she went on to have. She is survived by Jes, her husband of 46 years, her daughter Lois Rosso (Joe) and son Stanley Schultz (Beverly), grandchildren Jayne (Greg), Stephanie (John), Kimberly (Mike) and Carmen (John). She had six great grandchildren Declan, Luke, Olivia, Taylor, Zoe and Grace and she loved them all dearly. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jeanne Skytt and nieces Maureen, Judy, Beverly, Kathy, Terri, Jacqueline, Suzanne, Lola, and Carolyn and nephews Ricky, David and Jeff and their families. She was predeceased by her first husband Chris Schultz and her siblings Oluf, Ingeborg, Holger, Richard and Elinor. There will be a service for Esther on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Dalum Bethlehem Lutheran Church. If desired memorial donations in Esther’s memory may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Dalum, Drumheller Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
