April 27, 1933 - July 11, 2018

Edmund Vogstad passed away at the Red Deer Hospital on July 11, 2018 at the age of 85 years, surrounded by his family. He was a loving father of Ruth (Glenn) Murphy, Treacy (Paula) Vogstad, Byron (Marla) Vogstad, Cameron Vogstad, and Roger (Shannon) Vogstad and brother to twin Edward (Carol) Vogstad, and younger siblings Kenneth Vogstad & Edith Colton. Edmund will also be dearly missed by his 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. He is predeceased by his wife Joy Vogstad. Edmund was born in Atmore, AB on April 27, 1933 and moved to Burnaby, BC during WWII. Given the choice of a bike or a horse, he chose horse and ended up in the Wintering Hills, at the Bryant Place. In 1948, the family moved to the homestead where he has resided ever since. Edmund farmed most of his life but also enjoyed woodworking, metal working, and was active in the Dalum and church community. A Celebration of Life was held at Mountain View Funeral Home in Calgary on July 17, 2018.
