Eric Upton Primrose of Rumsey, Alberta beloved husband of Jean, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Eric was born on October 3, 1926 in Scollard, Alberta to Gordon and Marion Primrose. He was the seventh of ten children. Eric took all of his schooling in the Price School. He left home at the age of fifteen years to work seismic, followed by working on a dairy farm and trucking with his brother Jack. He then returned home to follow his true passion of farming with his Dad until he married. On November 10, 1956 Eric married his partner for life Jean Look. They rented a farm for the first four years of their marriage, after which time they purchased their own farm where they reside to this day. At the age of 88 years, Eric was still running machinery and checking cows. Other hobbies included baseball, and he was an avid curler and curling fan. Beside his loving wife Jean, Eric is survived by his son Rob (Mary; Mathew & Jess; Ashley, Keith, Jake, & Hunter), Son Tim (Betty; Julie & Justin, Katie & Shelby), daughter Teresa (Kevin; Drew, Hailey, & Jay). A Graveside Service will be held at the Rumsey Cemetery on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with Mr. Harold Hunter officiating, all family, friends and neighbours are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rumsey Ag Society or the charity of your choosing. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
