It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Dalton Laverne Jeffrey of Red Deer announce his passing on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the age of 83 years. After being diagnosed with lung cancer in January, Dalton’s wish was to remain at his home. He passed with his wife Marg and all their children by his side. Dalton will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Marg; children Bev (Larry) Hartel, Keith (Gaylene) Jeffrey, Carolyn Carr (Glen Anderson), Neil (Denise) Jeffrey and Ray Jeffrey. Also to cherish Dalton’s memory are his grandsons T. J. (Jess) Hartel, Cass (Jess) Hartel; granddaughters Robyn and Callie Jeffrey and Kim (Jason) Archer; great grandchildren Lena and Evie Hartel and Mathew and Blake Archer; sisters Beryl (Peter) Guzak and Merrilyn Asquin as well as numerous other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Doris Zeal Jeffrey; father James Mervyl Jeffrey and his stepmother Lena Smith Jeffrey. A time to celebrate Dalton’s life has been held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dalton’s honor may be made directly to The Lending Cupboard Society, 5406 C - 43 St., Red Deer AB T4N 1C9.
