It is with great sadness that the family of Emily (Emilia) Belczowski announces her passing on August 21, 2016 at the age of 85 years. Emily will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, Stanley Belczowski, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and their families. Emily was pre deceased by her daughter Sophie Waddell, her two sisters Izabela and Celina, and her parents Bronislawa and Ludwik Ptak. Emily was born in Bollwiller, France. Her family immigrated to Poland when she was 2. Emily’s life was one of many challenges and adventures, surviving WWII, meeting her husband Stanley and starting a family. They immigrated to Canada in 1958 and settled on a farm in Morrin and retired to Drumheller until their recent move to Red Deer, Alberta last year. Emily is lovingly remembered for her dedication to her family, her amazing work ethic, her love of art, sewing and cooking. Her many adventures never cease to amaze her family and the stories of her life were always filled with so much detail and treasured memories. Emily will be remembered dearly for her love of her family and her strong faith. Her families hearts are broken. There will be a service held at The Eventide Funeral Home 10:00 am Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 4820-45ST, Red Deer, AB. We invite you to come celebrate her life with the family.
