POULSEN Benth (Gramps) Laursen

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, of Benth (Gramps) Laursen Poulsen, beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend on June 4, 2016 in Red Deer, Alberta. Benth was born 87 years ago in Drumheller on May 25, 1929. He married the true love of his life “Clara” on March 29, 1950 in Dalum, Alberta and began their life together farming in the Wintering Hills for 57 years before moving to Drumheller to begin retirement. Benth was an active volunteer within the Dalum Community and beyond, Dalum Church, Dalum Hall Board, 4-H Beef Leader, Little League Ball Coach, also a Member of the Hussar Credit Union, Drumheller Stampede Society, Co-op Implements, Pioneer Acres, Dalum History Book Committee, just to name a few. Benth leaves to mourn: his wife Clara, his son, Harvey (Della), his daughter, Kathy (David), his grandchildren, Kyle (Erin), Troy (Amy), Dayl (Taylor), Leigh (Jessy), Megan (Jeremy), and Gavin, great grandchildren, Wyatt, Ryann, Lane, Soren, Rozlyn, and Rio. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends whose lives’ he touched. There will be a Funeral Service for Benth on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dalum Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dalum Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
