HUDSON, Anna Elizabeth
December 4, 1988 - November 19, 2015
“For those I love I will sacrifice”
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter Anna Hudson. For Anna, life was to be fully lived in the company of others. There was nothing more important to Anna than her family and friends. They were her foundation and meant the world to her. She was always there to give them whatever they needed, regardless of what was going on in her own life. She was strong, passionate, deeply caring, and full of emotion. Anna grew up on the family farm near Rosebud and attended Standard School where she was active in a variety of sports. She played competitive volleyball during high school and soccer in Standard, Strathmore, Three Hills, and Drumheller. Anna went on to take mining engineering at the University of Alberta and continued pursuing many activities with friends including dodgeball. She had worked in Fort McMurray for the last four and a half years as an engineer for KMC Mining and was on the brink of receiving her P.Eng designation. Anna was a new homeowner and enjoyed taking advantage of the outdoor pursuits available around Fort McMurray, often in the company of her boyfriend and their two dogs. She wished to develop as big a family as possible in her community, with as many people and animals around her as possible. Her dreams for the future included travelling the world and to one day own a farm. She will live forever in the hearts of her parents Arthur and Bonita Hudson, boyfriend Terrance, brother Jonathan and his wife Stephanie, sister Sarah, grandmother Minnie, as well as many more family and friends too numerous to mention. She also leaves behind her beloved cat Ryley, and dogs Odin and Loki. She was predeceased by her grandparents William Neufeld, Ruth and Charlie Hudson, and her brother Daniel. Funeral Services will be held at Rosebud Church on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Ramon Snowy Noble presiding. The service will be followed by lunch at the Rosebud Memorial Hall. As giving blood was close to Anna’s heart, donations in Anna’s memory can be made to Canadian Blood Services https://www.blood.ca (1800 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, ON, K1G 4J5). Arrangements entrusted to COURTNEY-WINTERS FUNERAL CHAPEL in Drumheller. Telephone: 1-403-823-2666.
