It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Laraine Combs at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre on the morning of Friday, November 13, 2015 at the age of 73 years. Laraine will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kathie Krancz of Spruce Grove, Kevin (Rosa) Combs of Fort McMurray and Colleen Combs of Victoria; grandchildren, Linden Krancz, Dustin Gauthier, Kyle Gauthier, Anthony Combs, James Combs, Josh Sacrey and Kelly Combs; as well as by her 12 siblings, Ralph (Maggie), Rudy (Marie), Whip, Alfie (Marge), Louis, Kenny (Ruth), Keith, Vivian (Cliff), Louise (Tom), Lynda, Carol and Denise. Laraine will also be tremendously missed by several extended family and wonderful friends. Laraine was predeceased by her parents, Elda and Alfred Scharfl. For those who wish, a time of Visitation will take place at Serenity Funeral Service, 5137 50 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place at Calvary Baptist Church, 4401 50 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery. The Combs’ family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation to Dr. Joel Giddey and the entire team at Drayton Valley Hospital for providing Laraine with the best care possible.
