KING, Allan Walter Burroughs
March 23, 1959 - September 1, 2015
56 Years
Allan King was born in Drumheller March 23, 1959. His parents are Shirley and Russell King. Allan attended the Rosedale school for his elementary years and then went to Jr. High and High School in Drumheller. After graduation he worked on several farms. He also worked hauling oil rigs around the province. He then started to work in the oil industry as an operator. He later formed his own company and became a contractor. He worked for Bearspaw, Pan Canadian and Encana. He was a dedicated and reliable worker. He bought land in northern Saskatchewan and enjoyed making many trips there throughout the year and met new friends. During his short retirement he loved to help on the Stanger farm during seeding and harvesting. He was an avid outdoors man and loved to hunt and fish. The last couple of years he told me he would rather now hunt with a camera instead of a gun. Allan enjoyed going to the gym and had achieved his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He enjoyed visiting with people and was a very thoughtful and kind person. He would help anyone that he could. He is survived by his mother, Shirley King, sister Sandra Rowell, and brother Brian King along with many aunts, uncles along with cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his dad, Russell King, and an infant sister, Elizabeth. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Knox United Church Drumheller with Reverend Heather Carlson officiating.
