Margaret Ellen Burnett (nee Jopson) was born in Drumheller, Alberta on May 16, 1921 and joined her late husband Noble on his birthday April 5, 2015. Margaret was raised in the Morrin area and attended Hillsgreen School. Following her education Margaret worked for several families in the Morrin area, cooking and doing general housework. She also worked in the Morrin Post Office for her father Jimmy Jopson, who was the postmaster. Margaret and Noble were married on November 22, 1942 and lived on the Burnett family farm west of Rowley until retiring to Drumheller in 1982. They had four children - Wendy (Walter) Watts, Jim, Lindsay (Shirley) and Allan (Betty Ann). Margaret was predeceased by Noble, her husband of 62 years and Jonathan her grandson. She is survived by her four children, twelve grandchildren Danielle (Trevor) Burrows, Ryan (Aaron) Burnett, Christina (Chris) Harvey, Sarah, Sammy, O’Dell, Terral, Luke (Chelsea), Rhema, Lane, Cory (Sarah) and Alyse (Devon) Swanson; eight great grandchildren - Reagan and Braden Burrows, Josiah, Ethan and Mikah Harvey, Noah Burnett, Carter and Emersyn Burnett. She is also survived by two very special friends Prudence Wilson and Karen Pilipchuk. Margaret was very involved in church and community activities while on the farm and in Drumheller. She lived a long and fulfilled life and will be missed by family and friends.
