TCHIR, William
October 2, 1927 - April 17, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Tchir at the age of 85 years old. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 57 years Jean, and 3 sons - Ken Tchir, Larry (Wendy) Tchir, Don (Sherry), Lois Tchir, 9 grandchildren - Jody, Kristy, Nigel, Roland, Nathan, Branden, Spencer, Kayla and Alanna and 5 great-grandchildren. Bill was born on a farm in Spedden, Alberta. He was one of 11 siblings, predeceased by his parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Bill and Jean moved from High Level to Drumheller and built their house in North Drumheller in 1977 where they still resided. Bill became ill with Alzheimers. He worked as a contract operator in the oilfield until he retired at 62 years old. He then lived to groom his beautiful yard. He also spent many hours fishing and camping. Those who wish to make a donation in lieu of flowers, please make to Drumheller Continuing Care. The wonderful care the staff gave Bill will be forever appreciated.
