Yes campaign mobilizes for plebiscite

Members of the Sportsplex and Community Facility Committee are working towards a yes vote in the plebiscite come November 3.
    Residents of Drumheller are going to the polls to decide whether John Anderson Park is a suitable location for a community facility.
    The plebiscite is in response to indications in the results of a survey of the residents in Drumheller, which showed support for using the site for development.
 

Winds of CHANGE shift at DCHS

change-is-brewin.jpgThe winds of change are blowing through the halls of Drumheller Composite High School (DCHS), as students are starting to see green.
The students of DCHS have come together to form a group called CHANGE (Creating a Healthy and New Green Earth), in an attempt to try to persuade the government to incorporate green technology into the new DCHS renovated school.
Jason Rasmussen, the coordinator and main influence for the initiation of the project, spoke with Golden Hills School District facilities director, Don Hartman, about the project.



Drumheller celebrates Fire Prevention Week

fire-truck-girls.jpgThe Drumheller Fire Department rolled out truck number five to Wal-Mart and Canadian Tire parking lots Saturday, October 4, in an effort to raise awareness of Fire Prevention Week, from October 5-11. St. Anthony’s students Keely (left) and Emily Martin, ages 8 and 5 respectively, got behind the wheel of the truck on Saturday morning.
