Information from Drumheller Town Council Regular Council Meeting
Monday, July 8, 2024

Council accepted as information the minutes of the Drumheller & District Seniors Foundation Thursday, May 23, Regular Meeting, as presented.

Council gave third reading to Safety Codes Bylaw 15.24, concerning the construction and maintenance of property. The Bylaw was originally tabled at the Monday, June 3, Regular Council Meeting so that changes and corrections could be made by Administration.

Council gave first, second and third readings to Bylaws 19.24 Midland PUL 2 and 20.24 Midland PUL 1, which enacts undeveloped right of ways, that are being closed for berm construction, into Public Utility Lots.
Council gave first, second and third readings to Bylaw 21.24 Midland ER 2, which concerns three town owned lots that will be converted into a single Environment Reserve.
Respecting the two previous bylaws, as part of the funding agreement with the Province of Alberta and the Government of Canada, land acquired for the flood mitigation project must be dedicated as either Environmental Reserves (ERs), Public Utility Lots (PULs) or another designation satisfactory to the Province.

Council gave first reading to Bylaw 20.24 Cambria 6 Avenue East Road Closure and set the Public Hearing date for Monday, August 21.

Council gave third and final reading to Bylaw 19.22.

Council moved into closed session before adjourning the meeting.
