Monday, June 3, 2024

Deputy Mayor Crystal Sereda opened the meeting.

Council accepted as information the minutes from Drumheller and District Seniors Foundation Regular Meeting, minutes from Thursday, April 18, as presented.

Council gave third readings to Bylaws 16.24 and 17.24, New Castle West lot 1 PUL and 2 PUL, and Newcastle West lot 4 PUL and 5 PUL, respectively. This designates the undeveloped parcels used in the Berm Project to Public Utility Lots.

Council approved the Resolution for Expropriation of a partial parcel for berm construction at 287 1 St, Nacmine.

Council approved the Certificate of Approval and Resolution for Expropriation pertaining to the parcel of land, Title # 201 030 219, 92 Railway Avenue.

Council directed Administration to abandon the Notice of Intention to Expropriate a partial parcel of land Title # 061 036 718 +1 and a new Certificate of Approval for Expropriation will go before council for a full parcel of land pertaining to the property.

Council tabled the second reading of Safety Codes Bylaw 15.24 so that changes and corrections can be made by Administration.

Council gave third reading to Land Use Amending Bylaw 12.24, which reflects changes made to align with the Municipal Development Plan and the Drumheller Valley Housing Strategy.

Council adjourned the meeting.

Correction: In the May 21 Regular Council Meeting notes that appeared in the May 29 edition of the Mail, it was stated that Councillor Stephanie Price opened the meeting. It was in fact Deputy Mayor Crystal Sereda who chaired the meeting.
