Drumheller named in top 25 business communities in western Canada

    The Town of Drumheller is pleased to announce that Alberta Venture Magazine has named Drumheller as one of the 25 Best Communities for Business in Western Canada in 2010.     “This is great recognition for the Town of Drumheller”, said Mayor Terry Yemen. “Over the years, our town has seen good and stable growth. We have seen increases in tourism and businesses, and growth in our population and housing. The economy of Drumheller looks very promising for the future. I give a lot of credit to our administration, town staff, our residents and businesses in our community who are working very hard to make Drumheller a great place to live”.
    Economic Development Officer Ray Telford stated, “Alberta Venture is a well respected magazine in the business community. In 2008, the Town of Drumheller was named one of the most affordable communities to live in. In 2009 we were named as one of Alberta’s Top 10 communities to do business in. This year it is an honour to be named as one of the top 25 communities for business in Western Canada. Drumheller really is something to roar about.”
    The criteria that is used in deciding the Top 25 communities in Western Canada included housing prices, population growth, serviced industrial land and lease rates.
