A woman received minor injuries after a collision with a semi on Highway 27 near Morrin Wednesday morning, March 16.

At about 9:40 a.m. Drumheller RCMP responded to a collision about one mile east of the Morrin turnoff. It appears a mid-sized car travelling eastbound crossed the centre line and sideswiped a tractor-trailer unit. The car spun and came to a stop in the middle of the road.
The RCMP along with the Drumheller Fire Department, the Morrin Fire Department and EMS responded to the accident. Heavy fog decreased visibility as traffic was directed around the scene. The female driver of the car received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The call to police was initiated by the OnStar system in the car.
The driver has been charged with driving left of center.
