School board trustee election results

    Along with municipal and county elections across the province, school board trustees in three area divisions were elected on Monday.     Voters for Golden Hills School Division elected Larry Maerz with 718 votes over Barry Kletke’s 584 for the Ward 1 (Three Hills, Torrington, Huxley, Trochu and area) elections.
    Drumheller’s Ward 2 saw Karen Harries win by acclamation.
    Ward 4 (Strathmore) saw a three way race, with Larry Tucker and Janet Bolinger claiming the two vacant seats, with 816 and 631 votes, respectfully. Joyce Bazant garnered 355 votes.
    Ward 2 (Acme, Carbon, Linden, and area) saw David L. Price win by acclamation.
    For the Christ the Redeemer School Division, Paul Andrew won by acclamation in Drumheller’s ward.
    Prairie Land Regional School Division saw a race between Lyle Cawiezel, garnering 261 votes over John Neill’s 139 in Ward 4.
