Shortly after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, Badlands EMS, The Drumheller Fire Department and the Drumheller RCMP were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on the North Hill.
It appears a motorcyclist veered off the road while descending into the valley. Corporal Kevin Charles said the operator of the motorcycle was conscious and lucid when emergency responders arrived on the scene, and he was taken to the Drumheller Health Centre with undetermined injuries. He goes on to explain there was nothing in their investigation that indicated excessive speed or impairment were involved in the crash. The accident occurred on the same stretch of highway where in July a motorcyclist veered off the road and was fatally injured.
