“Albertans are some of the most giving and generous people anywhere, and those traits are also reflected in our province’s private sector,” said Lindsay Blackett, Minister of Culture and Community Spirit. “I want to commend each of this year’s recipients for their dedication and commitment to Alberta’s non-profit/voluntary sector. They are all helping to build strong and vibrant communities across our province.” The Corporate Volunteer Awards of Excellence were established by the Alberta government to honour and recognize the contributions of private sector corporations, businesses and their employees. The awards are presented each year to the most outstanding businesses that provide funding to worthy causes and encourage their employees to volunteer in their communities.
