On January 16, one year to the day until Drumheller celebrates the arrival of the Olympic Torch, a group of citizens and administrators of the symbolic event gathered to raise the 2010 Olympic Flag in front of Town Hall. Drumheller was chosen as a Celebration Community, where the torch will stop on its route to Vancouver for an evening of great pride and legacy. The Canadian Badlands Passion Play amphitheater has been suggested as the site to hold the festivities.
