Town of Drumheller Firefighters are preparing for Fire Prevention Week.
This year’s Fire Prevention Week is October 5-11. The theme is: “It’s Fire Prevention Week: Prevent Home Fires”
This year’s Fire Prevention Week is October 5-11. The theme is: “It’s Fire Prevention Week: Prevent Home Fires”
To kick off this year’s Fire Prevention Week, on Saturday, October
4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Drumheller Firefighters will be
partnering with Fire Marshal’s Safety Council, Canadian Association of
Fire Chiefs and Canadian Tire/Garrison in holding a Fire Safety Day
event at the Canadian Tire parking lot in Drumheller.
Also on Saturday, October 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Drumheller Firefighters will have a display and fire equipment set up at Drumheller Wal-Mart.
The events will give the Drumheller Volunteer Firefighters an opportunity to showcase their commitment to fire and life safety.
During the Fire Safety Day events, the Drumheller Firefighters will have the following;
• Giving away colourful activity booklets for children from kindergarten to grade three.
• Fire Safety handouts for both children and adults.
• Fire equipment demonstration and displays.
• Entry forms for a door prize.
• Draws at both Canadian Tire and Wal-Mart at 2 p.m.
Come down on October 4 and educate yourselves on how to promote fire prevention, fire safety, and vehicle safety within the communities you live in.
