Drumheller RCMP execute search warrant, arrest two

IMG 4400On August 18, 2024, Drumheller RCMP General Duty officers and officers of the Drumheller General Investigation Section initiated an investigation into stolen property being stored at a rural residence Southwest of Horseshoe Canyon on Highway 9 in Wheatland County.
On August 19, 2024, at approximately 9:20 p.m., several RCMP officers from Drumheller converged on the residence and executed a search warrant. Stolen photography equipment and accessories were located and recovered.
A 46-year-old male and 45 year-old female, both residents of Wheatland County, were arrested at the scene. Both were charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to attend the Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller on October 25, 2024, to answer to the charges.
The identity of the suspects is not being released at this time as an information has not yet been sworn.
