Dustin MacPherson and Nathan Grenville were selected to play in the Western Canada Championships with Consort, to be held in Kelowna B.C. on the weekend of August 18-20. Only one game was played before the tournament had to be cancelled because of forest fires in the area.
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan stepped up to be the venue for the tournament and hosted the championship on September 1-3.
The Consort team won their way to the gold medal game but were defeated in the finals by Prince Albert, earning them a silver medal.
