Two individuals, both residents of Sylvan Lake, are facing charges after Three Hills RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle.
On Wednesday, July 19 at 11:45 p.m., Three Hills RCMP were dispatched to a suspicious truck and ATV which were parked in Delburne.
The investigation revealed the truck, a Ford F550, and the Yamaha ATV, were both reported stolen out of Consort. A male and female were placed under arrest and taken into custody. The female was found in possession of cocaine and crystal methamphetamine.
Upon further investigation, police subsequently located identifications, a large quantity of vehicle keys, oxycodone pills, drug paraphernalia, and what is suspected to be a homemade firearm in the stolen truck.
Jacob Vincent, 26, a resident of Sylvan Lake, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; and five counts of fail to comply with release order.
Following a Judicial Interim Hearing, Vincent was remanded into custody and appeared at Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller on Friday, July 21.
Charges are pending for a female resident of Sylvan Lake. As an information has not been sworn before the court, therefore, the name of the individual cannot be released at this time.
