Crews from the Carbon Fire Department, with mutual aid from the Drumheller, Kneehill County and Three Hills departments, responded to a call just after 2 p.m. on Friday, April 28, for a grass fire along Highway 837. The fire involved some outbuildings. There was very little wind at the time of the fire, which allowed firefighters and approximately eight apparatus to quickly contain the fire, which had spread along the north side of the Red Deer River.
