A good Samaritan in the Town of Three Hills was recognized by the RCMP for showing compassion for a person in distress.
On Friday, January 27, Three Hills resident Daniel Hicks phoned the police when he observed a female in distress. The female was observed walking around the neighbourhood and not dressed appropriately for the weather.
Mr. Hicks then jumped into action providing the female with a warm coat while comforting the female, who was in medical distress, until the police arrived.
The female was transported to Three Hills hospital with assistance from EMS for further evaluation and her family was notified.
Detachment Commander Sergeant Jamie Day praises the possible life-saving actions of Mr. Hicks for reporting a female in distress to police. Mr. Hicks was presented with a Three Hills Challenge coin for his actions.
