Work to demolish and remediate the former Nacmine Hotel building began on Tuesday, September 6. Several demolition contracts were awarded by the Town of Drumheller in July 2022, which included demolition of the former consortium, the Nacmine Hotel, and the former Drumheller Health Centre on Riverside Drive East. The contract for the Nacmine Hotel demolition was awarded to Titan Contracting Demolition for a total cost of $86,300; Titan Contracting was also awarded demolition of a residential property in Lehigh for flood mitigation purposes.
