A donation from Westview Co-Op to Drumheller Legion Branch #22 will help support purchasing metal frames to permanently hang some 64 veterans’ banners. Veterans’ banners are hung annually ahead of Remembrance Day throughout the Drumheller Valley, and the Legion would like to see these banners become a permanent fixture at the Badlands Community Facility (BCF) and along Veterans Way due to the cenotaph’s location. A fundraising campaign spearheaded by Westview Co-Op Gas Bar associate Cynthia Woods helped raise over $1,000 from guests to support purchasing the metal frames needed for the banners.
